Creality MakeNow can get a personalized printable project into Creality Print quickly, but it is not a one-click replacement for checking the model. In my SparkX i7 walkthrough, I used CubeMe to turn a photo into an avatar, SnapForm to turn a pet photo into a small printable item, and the Sign Generator to build a custom multicolor sign. The common thread was simple: review the preview, map the colors to the material you actually have, and inspect the sliced result before sending it to the printer.
This guide is based on my hands-on walkthrough and the projects shown in the video. It documents what I used and the issue I caught while preparing one of the CubeMe models; it is not a claim that every MakeNow result will print the same way.

All three workflows still end in Creality Print. MakeNow creates or prepares the project, but the slicer preview is where I verified printer selection, color mapping, and any necessary manual correction before starting a print.
CubeMe: turning a photo into a printable avatar
From the MakeNow menu, I opened CubeMe, chose Start Creating, created a project, and selected an image. The workflow shows a privacy notice before it generates a stylized image. In the demo I used the Soft Real style with a standing pose. I also tested the no-style/original direction earlier; in this case it produced a flat-looking image that did not work out the way I wanted.

CubeMe showed generated-image choices and, in the version used in the video, allowed two free regenerations. I used those to get to an avatar direction I was comfortable turning into a model. Model generation then consumes a MakeNow generation/token, so it is worth spending a minute on the image choice before confirming. The points, credits, and free-generation limits shown in the video are product details that can change; check the current MakeNow screen rather than relying on a past price or allowance.
After model generation, I could choose a monochrome or full-color approach, set the number of available colors, choose the intended purpose, add or remove a base, and adjust scale. I selected four colors for this example so the later mapping step would be easier to manage. The tool can keep color selection on Auto, but Auto is a starting point—not a substitute for inspecting the finished slice.
The CubeMe color issue I caught before printing
The avatar’s glasses exposed the most important limitation I ran into. In the slicer view, the automatically assigned colors left a visible gap inside the glasses because the colors behind that region were different. From a side angle, the gap was geometrically believable, but it was not the appearance I wanted for the physical print. I corrected it in Creality Print under Prepare by manually painting the inside of the glasses to match the glasses color.

Do not judge a multicolor MakeNow model only from the front preview. Rotate the sliced model and check color boundaries around glasses, openings, thin features, and recessed details before sending it to the printer.
SnapForm: converting a pet photo into a small project
For SnapForm, I uploaded a pet photo and selected the Flat Illustration direction in the walkthrough. After choosing a generated version, the tool offered formats including a keychain, bookmark, and magnet. It also allowed the background to be retained or removed. When keeping it, I could choose a shape such as a circle and reposition the image within that shape.

The important handoff is Export, followed by opening the project in Creality Print. In the video, the keychain-style piece was laid out face down. Before slicing, I selected the printer, checked the mapped colors, and used the slicer preview to understand both the visible face and the back. That makes the workflow useful for a quick personalized item, but it also means the image, background choice, and print orientation need to agree before you commit material to the build plate.
Sign Generator: from SVG and text to a printable sign
The Sign Generator is the most direct of the three tools when the goal is a custom label, plaque, or small sign. In the video I left the background plate in place to add thickness, then imported an SVG that I had generated from an image, sized it, and centered it. The tool also lets you add your own text, add emoji-style outline shapes, change the plate color or shape, and remove the plate if the project does not need one.

Use the 3D view before export. It makes the layer relationship clear: text, SVG artwork, and added shapes should sit above the plate, and their thickness can be adjusted there. I exported a 3MF file, imported it into Creality Print, reviewed the color mappings, and sliced it. For the project shown, the imported settings were a workable starting point, but I would still treat them as a starting point for the particular material and color setup loaded on the printer.
A reliable MakeNow-to-SparkX i7 workflow
Use this sequence whenever you are turning a MakeNow creation into a physical print:
- Choose the right creation path first: CubeMe for a stylized avatar, SnapForm for a photo-based small item, or Sign Generator for text and SVG-based work.
- Spend time on the generated preview before using a model-generation token. Regenerate if the source image or visual style is not giving you the direction you want.
- Choose the intended color count, base, shape, and scale in MakeNow, then export to Creality Print.
- Select the actual printer and map the project colors to the material that is available on that machine.
- Inspect the slicer from more than one angle. Look for empty-looking regions, color bleed, thin details, back-side surprises, and areas that need manual painting.
- Only then slice and send the job. Keep the preview open long enough to see whether the design choice makes sense as a physical object, not just as an on-screen rendering.
Who this workflow is for
MakeNow is most useful when you want a fast starting point for a personalized print and are willing to do a final slicer pass. CubeMe is a better fit for a stylized figurine than a faithful scan of a person. SnapForm makes the most sense for small photo-led projects where a simplified, graphic result is acceptable. The Sign Generator is the strongest option of the three when you already have a logo, SVG, or message and want direct control over the final shape and raised detail.
Skip the one-click mindset if the design needs exact colors, thin-feature reliability, or a specific visual outcome. The avatar glasses problem in this test is a good example: the MakeNow output got the project into the slicer quickly, but the final quality depended on catching and correcting a region the automatic mapping handled poorly.
